If Clothes Could Talk!

Morning to you. Sincerely sorry, I couldn't get to you this fast, the perks of coding or programming... I did meet an inspiring damsel who milked the juices and shouted Fashion! As an inquisitive thinker that you are, I know you have wondered how fashion came into being. Well, Guts must be involved.

Imagine; A man sits down and decides to help his scissors make sweet love with the fabric, and a design is the offspring. Naaah! It doesn't end there, he gets some sweet scrawny beautiful kids to wear those pieces (Must they all be Sexy, that should be the idea of it all) for FREE and walk around(No wonder, they want flawless skins, who wants skin diseasese? Oops, did i just say that?). Someone notices it, likes it and orders for a piece to outshine some at a function. Funny enough, they love it at the function and it goes viral....But a generation later, everyone trends the style. What if the clothes could talk, telling you the things they pass through; you'll hear something like this...

Gosh, she wears me well
resting gently and smart on her swell
chic and fab but daaah
she smells!

Lucky you, I rest in her cemetery
to be recalled when her body fits the symmetry
and sweetie, all for that naughty man of hers
who is clueless as to what swags means

I hate him,
wrong colour combinations
no deodorants or underwear
I lose shape to that gross amount of hair, yuck!

Young clothes,
glory not in your youth
for your season would end as mine did
when that D&G came and took over

Ouch, he sure knows how to rock me
suave red carpet events and lights
you should see the champagne
we can never fight

partying in the Caribean
dancing at the market square
am her favourite piece
praying not to wear out soon

I have died a hundred times
he washes me every day,
babe, i'm beginning to lose some shades
I wish i never knew him

If your clothes could talk, what would they tell you... Thank you for your comments, if you have a poem that you want featured here, do email me at aje1661@gmail.com and we would do you the honours. Do have a splendid day.
