I am in a Dream!

With the discovery of some awesome writers and poets and stories that blows the mind away, begging our subconscious to reason on real issues; It's been a sweet week, I must say.
Here is something I would call a throw-back by A wicked poet KOLAWOLE SALAMIKolawole SalamiKolawole Salami

I'm in a dream
I'm in a dream, standing by a junction
With a path to my left and another to my right
With a knowing that I should go right
But a desire to walk on left.
It's a dream after all, no choice is wrong.

Straight ahead is a pile of green dust,
Swirling round a sand baked castle
Standing firm in a farm of maize
Secretly kept, but impossibly obvious

I'm in a dream, and people are running
I join them, and my steady legs take flight
They move forward quickly
But my legs are taking me backwards,
The quicker they move, the more of the past I see,
I see as I stepped out of the house with the desire to go left,
But they keep carrying me backwards, further from the present
I see as I stood and my hands closed round the sausage roll, rubbing the mayo in
Further backwards I move, and my trousers don't fit anymore
They glide off my waist but I can't stop to pick them
My legs are furiously racing towards
What others are running from.

I see as I tossed my clothes to the side
And jumped into the mini-pool
Imitating Michael Phelps in my own little way

I see my heads bowed on my class desk
With that little vixen looking round
Before doing ungodly things with our hands

My shirt falls off my body too,
And my skin is lighter than I ever knew,
My legs are shorter too, but furious as when they began to run.
My hair is low, but my hairline is advanced
I see as I was bathed, before I ran out to peddle my bicycle
Up and down, rocks and sand, bruises and sprains, laughter and more laughter
I see as I was fed, strapped between two thighs,
My mouth was open wide, but more went out than went in.

I'm in a dream, by a junction, my legs no longer running.
But I realised, that the events of the past have brought me to this junction
Giving me another chance, could be the last
To make a different choice.
I look to the left, my body is triggered to go the path
But I walk right, because it's what I should.
With a knowing to go right,
But a desire to head on left.
It's just a dream, but I have to still do right.
