STANDING FRIEND

A very Terrific Black Friday it was yesterday, with all the shopping I did (in my mind though!) even as a question boggled my mind. Why was it Black Friday not White or Red? That's a Story for the other day. I was so pleased when someone asked to meet our poet yesterday (Kolawole Salami) and I said Facebook him. The benefits of friendship especially when its true with no shades of black in between can be pure euphoria. Takes me to the note IYANU ADEBIYI wrote and yes I didn't forget our short review on her; but before then, enjoy this with your morning Coffee!

You were there when
there was fear in my mind,
during the phases of bad times,
with trouble waters drowning me
and i could only but panic.

When pain filled my body,
and tears flooded my eyes
till I saw seven stars.
I bit my lips
wailing with worry in self pity.

You lifted me high
and made me realize that
happiness was drawing nigh.
Filled my heart with love
and made my soul bubble with joy.

love flows from your heart to mine
like a stream from a river.
Our friendship is a delicate decoration
made from all the precious things
in this world and beyond.

Iyanu AdebiyiIyanu is quite humorous for the short while I have encountered her, a Splendid Writer that worships and expresses love via words. Women are very lazy! You would agree with  me, especially the typical African woman and not these new hybrid ones with ideas of feminism! A bundle of wood on the head a babe sitting on the behind. Two bags of groceries to balance her weight, Of course! Her shape is worth the wait. ADELE: Finally we reach house!

Am so excited, thrilled, hyperactive and you all know our love for Aunty Adele can never be lost. Lailai! Imagine how I felt when I first heard the name " Adele ", I thought it was one of our Aunts that traveled out and forget us but naahhh, It wasn't. With her Album 21 playing on repeat on my small phone (You should have seen the phone, Tchai!) , I was downcast when her voice hmmmnnnn "You know, thatszall" and she just disappeared for three years.
